Chamula is another brand from Monitaly's designer, Yuki Matsuda, and was inspired by his travels through the Mexican highlands in the 1990s. With Chamula, Matsuda celebrates Mexican artisanal traditions: each piece of knitwear is made in Mexico by a single artisan, from spinning the yarn to finishing the garment. This gives each Chamula a level of personal care and character that is rare to find in any clothing today. Chamula knits are made from fine Merino wool that comes from the sheep grazing in the mountains near where the artisans make the garments—a true full circle.
